Psychoeducational Evaluations
FAQs:
What is a psychoeducational evaluation?
A psychoeducational evaluation is a comprehensive assessment designed to understand a child's unique strengths and areas where support may be helpful. These evaluations explore cognitive, academic, emotional, and behavioral functioning through a tailored battery of standardized tests and questionnaires.
Each evaluation is designed to answer fit your child’s age, grade level, and social-emotional profile, but may include
Cognitive Evaluations: Assesses memory, reasoning, problem-solving, and how your child processes information.
Academic Achievement: Measures reading, writing, and math performance compared to grade-level expectations.
Social, Emotional, and Behavioral Functioning: Explores emotional regulation, social interactions, behavior at home and school, and coping strategies.
Attention and Executive Functioning: Evaluates focus, organization, self-control, and task management skills.
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD): If indicated, we conduct comprehensive ASD evaluations, including structured observations, caregiver interviews, and social-communication assessments.
How long does the evaluation process take?
The entire process typically takes 4–6 weeks, depending on scheduling availability and testing needs.
